Description
Clematis 'Frances Rivis' is a reliable alpina clematis, bearing pretty nodding, bell-shaped flowers from mid-spring. The gently twisted, sky blue blooms contrast with pristine white stamens, and are followed by a late display of fluffy seed heads. A particularly robust, spring-flowering clematis, 'Frances Rivis' copes well in exposed positions and needs virtually no pruning. An RHS AGM variety, it is ideal for growing against a sunny wall, or for training onto an obelisk to make a striking patio feature. Height: 3m (9'). Spread: 1.5m (5'). Pruning group: 1.
