Thompson & Morgan Chimonanthus praecox
Description
Perhaps the sweetest-scented of all winter flowering shrubs, the honey fragrance of Chimonanthus praecox brings a waft of pleasure on a cold winter's day. It is a real beauty too; its pale yellow flowers with 'petticoats' tinged with dark red veins hang from bare branches throughout the months from December to February. Wintersweet often takes a few years to establish, but is well worth the wait. Height: 4m (12'). Spread: 3m (10?).
