The Castelli Miracolo Base Layer is made from Merino wool which is a great insulator, but it is also able to absorb moisture meaning it keeps your body dry and therefore warm. The mesh composition of the wool then prevents overheating as well. Whilst Castelli has made use of traditional material in the form of Merino wool. They have added some modern technology in by combining the Merino wool with nylon to improve the strength and elasticity of the base layer, thereby making the base layer extra durable and easy to put on and take off. As a base layer, the Miracolo has been designed to fit under your outer layers. Therefore, Castelli has designed the Miracolo to have a simple, minimalist finish at the waist, collar and cuffs to stop the fabric from rolling up and getting caught on your other layers.
