Description
The Country 22cm bread knife is ideal for discerning chefs. It takes over 40 stages, from forging and hardening through to grinding and assembling, to create this traditional hand-forged, top-quality knife. Every blade is made from a piece of chrome molybdenum-vanadium steel, which has been forged at an incredibly high temperature and then hardened to 58° Rockwell. Experienced knife grinders give the knives the correct degree of sharpness. The blade is also ground on a ceramic plate at an angle of 14° on each size. This results in extreme sharpness, and the high cutting capacity runs along the entire length of the blade. The crop provides optimal balance in the knife, ensuring the hand does not slip against the blade. The smoked oak handle is also permanently fixed to the tang with three rust-free rivets.
