Suspension You can choose between two different types of suspension for the Hexa lamp series: centric or eccentric. The central suspension, in which all the cables run together on the canopy, is best suited for round or square dining tables or use in a stairwell. With the eccentric suspension, only the current-carrying cables come together in the canopy, while the non-current-carrying steel cables can be placed freely in the room. This means that the Hexa pendant lights can also be aligned very well over elongated dining tables or kitchen islands. Dimmable phase control (standard) When delivered, the pendant lights can be dimmed via phase control or phase control. To be able to dim the lights, you need a suitable LED dimmer. We recommend the flush-mounted dimmers from Busch-Jäger 6523 U-102 and Eltako DTD55-230V-wg or Eltako EUD12NPN-UC for electrical distribution on a DIN rail or Eltako EUD61NPN-UC for use in a deep flush-mounted box. As a touch dimmer, we recommend the Gira 238500 dimmer. If you do not want to dim the lights, you can also choose this version. If you do not have the option to install a dimmer, but still want to regulate the brightness of the lights, choose the right version. A radio remote control is built into the light combination so that you can easily switch the light on and off or dim it using a remote control. If you use the existing light switch, the last setting is retained. ZigBee With the ZigBee radio standard, you can easily integrate the Hexa combination into many existing smart homes. For this purpose, a ZigBee controller is installed so that the light combination can be controlled via a ZigBee gateway, such as the IKEA TRADFRI gateway or the Philips Hue bridge. If you do not have a gateway, you need the iLight ZigBee gateway, which allows you to dim and control the lights via smartphone or tablet. DALI DALI is a wired system in which dimming is carried out via a separate control line. A DALI-compatible transformer is used here, which can process and convert this control signal. As a rule, the standard DALI can be found in the smart home area. To be able to dim the lights, you need a corresponding gateway, e.g. via Loxone or KNX.
