The Cannondale SuperX Apex 1 Cyclocross bike is the entry into Cannondale’s top of the line carbon cyclocross bikes. The SuperX comes with unmatched traction, huge mud clearance, and confident “charge-any-line" handling to make this ultra-light machine the ultimate 'cross or gravel race rig. The Cannondale SuperX is built around one of Cannondale’s superlight BallisTec Carbon frames (made out of the same carbon they use for ballistic armour). This being Cannondale they haven’t gone for a straight forward frame. Instead you get an Ai offset drivetrain which delivers super short chain stays for climb-winning traction and agile handling and allows clearance for tyres up to 40mm.To give you a smoother ride, and let you keep the power down for longer, the frame incorporates Cannondale’s SAVE micro-suspension which gives small areas of flex in the frame without the need for any moving parts To ensure the SuperX handles properly it has the same OutFront Steering Geometry that Cannondale use on their mountain bikes. This offers extra stability for technical descents but maintains agility everywhere else. The Apex 1 version of the SuperX comes with the SRAM 1x11 chainset and hydraulic brakes for a simple and clean setup that will power you over the worst terrain you can find.
