Centered around a lightweight SmartForm C2 aluminium frame with refined tube profiles, precision butting, and double-pass welds, paired with a full carbon fork the Optimo offers a lively and responsive riding experience. In addition, the frame features an updated dropped seatstay profile and specific flex zones in the rear of the frame to absorb road chatter for better comfort and control. The geometry is influenced directly from Cannondale's award-winning CAAD13 bike, the CAAD Optimo offers true race handling and optimal body position at all times. The Optimo 2 has been paired with the well known Shimano 105 groupset offering accurate gear shifts through a wide range of gear ratios with no compromise on power transfer. Light but robust wheels accelerate quickly, are low maintenance, and are stopped by fuss-free traditional caliper brakes. Completed with subtle rack and mudguard mounts the CAAD Optimo's versatility is expanded for commuting or wet weather training.
