This has been done by utilising a slightly closed face, more upright lie angle and having additional weight placed in the heel. The cartridge, which can be up to 27 grams of high-density tungsten, is used to push the Center of Gravity (CG) lower down and also bring it forward. This added weight and change to the CG results in more optimal launch, much lower spin and promotes increased ball speed. Ball speed has been one of the key areas that Callaway has focused on when designing this golf club, with a higher strength face cup being used.
