We think they call it the Pillow Box because you'll want to take it to bed and whisper sweet nothings to it. The cushion-shaped gift box is stuffed with Caffarel's Gianduia cubes, each one crafted using the finest whole Italian hazelnuts grown at the foot of the Alps and the silkiest premium milk chocolate. Individually wrapped, they're perfect for serving alongside Madeira, Tawny Port or coffee. And who were we kidding about using it as a pillow, there clearly won't be any left by bedtime. Caffarel has been making chocolates in Turin from as far back as 1826, when Pier Paul Caffarel converted a small workshop into a chocolatier. Using the famed local Piedmont hazelnuts, he blended them with chocolate and shaped them into the form of a small boat - inventing the now famous Gianduiotto. These would become known as Gianduia in 1865 when the local city mascot, Gianduia, handed out Gianduiotti to spectators of the Turin Carnival, henceforth linking the name to the chocolate.£10.53 per 100.00g
