Description
Beautiful hand painted mermaid drawers . Made of solid oak with all dove tail joinery . First up was a clean , a waxing of the insides & some Dixie Belle butta in orange grove . Next she got a coat of Annie Sloan Florence all over & them I blended the front background with Antibes , Provence & aumbusson blue . Then came the mermaid . I painted the hair with Capri burgundy & white . The body is a mix of all the colours with a little Arles thrown in for good measure . The tail is a mix of all the blues & greens . I decided she needed something else ... so bubbles came to mind . They completely added to the piece . I used a mix of all the colours in the bubbles to tie the piece together . Next job was waxing the freshly sanded top & a little gold highlighting to make her pop even more . I went for new glass drawer handles as they pick up all the colours & work perfectly .
