Turn the watch over to reveal the impressive, hand-finished case back, featuring genuine muonionalusta meteorite to symbolise the cosmos, four wooden discs taken from the desk at which Hawking sat contemplating the mysteries of the universe, and an etching of the stars from the night sky in Oxford on the date that Hawking was born. This model is limited to just 88 pieces, each presenting a serial number printed on paper from original copies of Hawking’s 1979 seminar paper “The ‘nuts’ and ‘bolts’ of gravity”. CLASSICALLY STYLED Housed in a 41mm 18K rose gold Trip-Tick ® case, this unique timepiece is driven by a modified calibre BE-36AE automatic chronometer with a 38-hour power reserve. The classically styled dial reflects the black tones of the universe and features spiral etching inspired by black holes, a retrograde seconds hand, and grand date display. A black leather strap with contrasting stitching completes this magnificent model.
