They dont seem to have any particular disadvantages neither in the sound spectrum nor in terms of presentation. The balanced signature will appeal the most and the ported design offers a decent soundstage. The M5 as I said are pretty well balanced and you will get almost the same quantity through the full frequency range. Although the M5s are not aggressive they are not dull either the bass extents pretty well and doesnt bleed to the mids. The mid range is warm not recessed or overly pronounced. While the highs are also very well placed and have a nice presence and clarity. The SoundMagic M5s are extremely comfortable designed to be worn with the cable down they come with a shirt clip for the cable to reduce microphonics. Their straight-barrel design makes them very comfortable and their light weight means you can almost forget theyre in your ears.
