Part of the Bosch Professional 18v Cordless platform, the GWS 18 V-10 SC is an advanced angle grinder which is packed full of features. It is compatible with any Bosch Professional 18v lithium ion batteries and shares battery compatibility with a wide range of cordless tools for trade and industry. The GWS 18 V-10 SC has adjustable speed contol and is fitted with an illuminated panel which displays the current speed setting and remaining battery charge, and will warn if the machine is overheating. It can be connected to a smartphone via the included Bluetooth wireless module, which enables the user to add owner's details, make control adjustments and view usage data. The brushless motor ensures longer runtimes and is capable of delivering power equivalent to a 1000 watt corded machine. Brushless motors mean less heat and friction, without any brushes to replace throughout the course of the tools lifetime. Grinders can be dangerous tools but the GWS 18 V-10 SC is packed full of safety features to help minimise the risk of accidents in the workplace. Firstly, it has an Intelligent Brake System, which ensures the tool is brought to a rapid halt rather than spinning down gradually once the trigger is released. Kickback Control and Drop Control sensors will automatically activate the brake whenever they detect that an accessory is about to become jammed, or that the tool has been dropped. Additionally, Restart Protection means that the switch can not be left in the 'on' position if, for example, a battery needs to be replaced. Any kind of power interruption requires the switch to be switched off and on again, to prevent unexpected startups. The Protection Guard is designed to stand firm if a disc shatters and has an anti-rotation system to keep it held in place.
