The Boardman HYB 8.9E Womens Hybrid Electric Bike is a great way to make riding for fitness, for fun, or for commuting easier and more enjoyable. With a flat handlebar and a more upright geometry than a traditional road bike, the Boardman HYB 8.9E Womens Hybrid Electric Bike is suited to leisure riding and commuting, offering a comfortable position and a good view of the road. This fast and practical hybrid style e-bike uses the sophisticated, German engineered Fazua Evation drive system, offering smooth and powerful electric assistance as you pedal, helping you up any incline. Its powerful Tektro hydraulic disc brakes take care of stopping duties, and the durable yet grippy tyres feature added puncture protection, to keep you rolling across roads, cycle paths, and trails.

Weighing in at just 4.6kg for the whole system, the Fazua Evation system keeps the Boardman HYB 8.9E Womens Hybrid Electric Bike lightweight and practical to live with. The battery and motor can also be removed and replaced with a lightweight cover (sold separately), meaning you can ride your e-bike just like a normal bike with barely any weight penalty, and no extra drivetrain resistance if you decide you don’t need any assistance. Be rest assured, this model also comes with a 2-year warranty on all electrical components.

Battery:
The integrated 250Wh battery is removable, which makes for easy charging without needing a plug where you store your bike. Long rides are handled easily thanks to a range of up to 56 miles* on the 'Breeze Mode' setting. To support the sophisticated motor and battery system, the HYB comes with a smart control system (BMS) that protects the battery from overheating, short circuiting or overcharging.
Note - the total travel distance will depend on the capacity of the battery, rider and luggage weight, power mode setting and riding style.

Motor:
The Fazua Evation e-bike drive system features a hidden, integrated motor capable of producing 250W of power assistance, and 60Nm of torque.

Sensor:
Using a sophisticated combination of Torque, Speed, and Cadence sensors, the Fazua system closely monitors your pedalling and feeds in power smoothly when you need it. It stops instantly when you stop pedalling - keeping you always in complete control. There are 3 levels of assistance to choose from using the intuitive handlebar remote control, which also shows battery charge levels.
