BMC Timemachine 01 TWO Disc TT/Triathlon Bike 2022 Combining an advanced carbon frameset and wireless shifting, BMC’s Timemachine 01 TWO Disc TT/Triathlon Bike is an excellent way to benefit from the most modern technology when seeking to shave time off in a race. The carbon frame is built using BMC’s Vmax Aero Design that has an extremely small frontal area to reduce any wind resistance to a minimum. Hence the hinge-style steerer mechanism that allows the head tube to be much slimmer than normal. Elsewhere, the tubes reflect this low drag design philosophy and even the storage box fits neatly behind the seat tube out of the wind. The P2P (Position to Perform) principle aims to ensure that it is easy for any individual to find a position on the bike that enables them to perform to their maximum potential. To this end, the seatpost can effectively be moved between 71° and 81° for the most appropriate position, the saddle is also highly adjustable and the cockpit also offers a wide range of positions so that a sustainably powerful position can be dialled in. Fully wireless and electronically operated, SRAM’s 12-speed Rival AXS is a great fit on a TT bike as the system allows for operation from both the extensions and the basebar. Shifting is snappy and effortless, encouraging the right cadence at all times. Hydraulic brakes offer considerably more power and consistency than is normally available on a TT bike for greater confidence and speed.
