Inspired by the traditional Mason jar with a high-tech touch, it's perfect for adding a beautiful blue glow to dark porches, bedrooms and windowsills!So how does it work? Solar power charges the battery inside the jar, and when darkness falls at night-time, the Blue Sun Jar automatically lights up, emitting a pale blue glow.When the jar is placed in sunlight, the solar cell creates an electrical current that charges the battery over a few hours. This energy is then used at night to power the three LED lamps inside the jar. The light is diffused by the frosted glass jar and gives the appearance of sunlight (blue coloured LED lights are used to give a pale blue glow).
There isn't a switch to turn the light on - in fact, there are no visible controls at all - just a clever light sensor inside which automatically activates the LED lights when it gets dark or the lights are turned out!
 (There's an override switch under the lid if you would like to turn the light off at night)With a frosted finish to the glass, the 
mason jar is completely watertight, so it can be used indoors or out. You can also leave the jar outside in any weather condition.Included is a rechargeable, 700 mAh NiMH battery.
