GRX is Shimano's gravel/cyclocross specific groupset, with rugged reliability, wide range gearing options and quiet shifting. The rear derailleur makes use of the Shadow RD+ design borrowed from Shimano's MTB groupsets, with a clutch type mechanism to keep the chain under control and prevent it bouncing around on rough ground.
