Hoja de Cuba Eau de Parfum, or 'Leaf of Cuba', puts a spotlight on the large tobacco leaves that are dried, then rolled cylindrically to make Cuba's famous cigars. Even the decor of the bottle portrays the precious leaves, conjuring up the image of them hung for curing by expert Cuban hands in barns known as 'Casas del Tabaco'. The lagoon green touches conjure up the prized colours renowned for their elegance and rarity that are used on the cigar bands. Created by perfumer Ane Ayo, this Grand Cru's fragrance trail reveals the singular beauty and sweet scent of Cuba's tobacco fields and the candour of its origins. She imagined Hoja de Cuba as 'a dance between powdery heliotrope, spicy benzoin and enveloping vanilla...that delves into the Cuban retro feel and breathes out the night air of Havana.' This oriental, tobacco perfume is expressed through Allspice from Jamaica which is enhanced by a blend of tobacco from Turkey and vetiver from Haiti to capture the authenticity of Cuba's tobacco leaves within a beautiful glass bottle.
