However, the demon has some odd ways in which he wants to be paid by the Maitland’s including the new family’s daughter. %%%%% The popular 1988 comedy horror Beetlejuice cemented director Tim Burton as the master of gothic comedy. A film where wild and comical ideas could co-exist. The film also cemented Michael Keaton as a comedy actor. Keaton originally turned down the role but later reconsidered like most of the Beetlejuice cast, the film went on to be the 10th highest grossing film of 1988.
