Bay isle home® are made from recycled fishing nets (recycled from the fishing industry/ fish farming) and from other nylon & plastics which would typically end up in a landfill. the yarn used to make bay isle home® is a recycled nylon called econyl® a small amount of ‘ghost’ fishing nets may also end up in bay isle home®. ghost fishing nets have been recovered from the sea by divers. bay isle home® is made and designed in the UK the back of the mat is studded to minimize movement on floors and carpets. the backing also contains some recycled content (approx. 35%).
