Description
The new, more powerful Hawx Ultra 110 S remains impressively light and is still the ultimate choice for advanced skiers with a narrower foot. A Memory Fit shell can be moulded up to 4mm wider across the forefoot (more in the ankle and navicular) which means the boot suits various foot shapes. The Memory Fit 3D Gold Liner fine-tunes the fit. A Power Shift function adjusts forward lean to let you choose how to attack the hill and the Energy Backbone provides all the drive and power you'll need. Ability Level Overview Fit Snug fit around the rear foot and medium over the instep, medium to narrow on the forefoot, round toe shape. Shell True Flex PU Memory Fit shell with PU Memory Fit cuff, mouldable. Updated for this season with stronger shell walls for even better power transfer and stability. The advanced heat fitting technology of Memory Fit creates a fully personalised shell and cuff in minutes. The key is Memolink, a special additive that improves the mouldability and stretch characteristics of the plastic. The boot shell is heated in an oven, then the skier's foot is placed inside the complete boot whilst it cools. With the foot's natural standing pressure, the forefoot of the boot can expand up to 3mm per side and the ankle area up to 5mm per side. True Flex is an exclusive Atomic shell material that means your flex and feel remains constant in a variety of temperatures. So, the boot you buy in store feels the same on the mountain, you don't lose horsepower in the spring and you don't have a boot that you can't flex in mid-winter. Liner 3D Mimic Gold 3M Thinsulate, mouldable. Atomic's unique Mimic liners use a layer of supportive thermoformable material in the heel, ankle and tongue areas. After being softened in an oven, this material mimics the precise shape of your foot, and hardens in that shape for a perfect custom fit. 3D means pre-shaped heel and ankles areas for better foot hold and comfort. Thinsulate is the world's best-known insulation and its use keeps feet warmer. In addition there is heat mouldable foam in the tongue and ankle area that can be formed to the foot at the same time as the Mimic material. Key Features Prolite Prolite is a way of building skis and boots that turns traditional thinking on its head. Instead of starting with a standard construction and cutting material away to save weight, Prolite does the opposite. It starts with the slimmest possible profile and then it builds up reinforcements in key areas where strength is needed. Power Shift Power Shift allows the forward lean to be adjusted to 13o, 15o or 17o simply by moving the power control up and down. You can also alter the flex index by +/- 10 flex points by adding or removing a screw. Creates a completely personalised set-up. Energy Backbone The Energy Backbone is a reinforced, asymmetric backbone that provides extra strength for powerful skiing plus enhanced lateral energy transmission for better edge grip. Thinsulate The more air a material traps in a given space the greater its insulating value. The microfibres in 3M Thinsulate insulation are far finer than any other fibres, which means they trap more insulating air in less space, even when wet. This keeps feet warm and responsive even in extremely cold and damp conditions.
