The small Dakota table light is a spherical faceted table light which is the perfect modern accent piece for any home. The folded paper form is unique & geometrical while also inspired by natural forms such as sea urchins & crystals. A bright white paper when unlit the lamp glows warmly when lit up providing the perfect mood lighting for any situation. Constructed from folded fortune tellers formed around a pre-existing paper lantern base, the entire light measures approximately 12 (30.5 cm) across, & comes with a 11 foot white light bulb cord with an in-line switch attached. The lamp sits on small white metal feet, which protect the bottom row of paper folds from getting crushed. The lamp is open at the bottom to allow for the insertion of the light bulb, but forms a complete sphere at the top. These details are visible in photos 3 & 4. Because the light bulb is inside the existing paper lantern, there is minimal risk of fire, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to use a CFL light bulb, which will stay cooler than an incandescent, plus save you money on your electric bill! The maximum bulb you should use for this size paper lantern is a 40 watt bulb. The photos show a 25 watt bulb which glows quite brightly through the white paper. These lights are made to order so there is currently a 2-3 week lead time between the time of purchase & when your light will be shipped.
