Suede Leather Upper
Constructed using a suede leather upper, the Asolo Elbrus Walking Boots offer a wider range of protection to help you gain the maximum from your footwear. The suede leather upper keeps the feet protected from debris and sharp objects as well as minimising the risks of wear and tear. The suede is also water-resistant to provide added protection at all times. As well as this, Schoeller Soft Shell fabrics work with the suede to ensure lightweight, comfortable durability on tough trails. The durable nature of the upper reduces the risks of abrasion and resists tearing so you'll have complete confidence as you tackle uneven terrain. The Elbrus GV has been created with GORE-TEX Performance Comfort Footwear lining, which is designed to be highly adaptable to changing weather conditions and versatile for all your climbing and outdoor adventures. To avoid damp feet, the GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the boot; supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. The GORE-TEX material keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. A rubber rand around the outside also protects from loose debris and rocks, as well as a protective toe cap in the front to assist this. Completing the upper is a webbing lacing system to provide a fast and precise lace-up, helping prevent in-shoe slippage, for a comfortable ride.
Mono-density Microporous MidsoleThe mono density midsole is extremely microporous to ensure long-lasting cushioning and outstanding underfoot comfort. The midsole feels soft underfoot for increased comfort but also provides ample support to spare your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. The midsole ensures you can go further for longer by inundating shocks and protecting your feet when striking down and also disperses the shocks to propel you forward, giving the best support and stability.
Vibram Mont/Tront OutsoleDesigned to give you traction on large contact areas and grip on rocks, the sole of the Elbrus GV utilises Vribram's Mont and Vibram Tront compounds. The broad lugs on the base of the soles ensure you get maximum stability from the shoes, and the heel deep incision reduces the impact during touch-down for a comfortable stride. The heel of the shoe uses a Dual Integrated System technology (two different PU densities) which guarantees cushioning and adaptability to semi-automatic crampons.
