Engineered Mesh Upper
To provide an optimal amount of breathability, the Gel-Pulse 15 shoes have been created with an engineered mesh upper, which will increase airflow through the shoes, keeping your feet cool, dry and comfortable throughout your workout. The forgiving fit and soft fabric construction create the ultimate comfortable environment, allowing your toes to flex naturally and feel pleasant throughout wear. A traditional lacing system anchors the shoe to the foot securely and gives you the perfect custom fit for better control and stability. At least 20% of the shoe's main upper material is made with recycled content to reduce waste and carbon emissions.
FlyteFoam MidsoleThe midsole of the Gel-Pulse 15 has been made from FlyteFoam which provides the perfect balance of lightweight and rebound properties. The foam provides plenty of protection, bounce and comfort, with unmatched shock absorption and a lively ride. FlyteFoam is one the lightest cushioning materials ASICS has ever made, 55% lighter than the industry standard midsole compounds and it buffers against the ground to protect you from unnecessary stress and fatigue. FlyteFoams reinforced, organic fibres let the material bounce back to its original shape after every run; so you can train harder, more frequently for longer, without the worry that your shoes might not be able to take it. Sitting between the two layers of FlyteFoam is ASICS' signature GEL technology which adds to the bouncy nature of the midsole. They work to reduce shock during the impact phase, sparing your joints as you sprint down onto hard, unforgiving concrete and allowing for a smooth transition to mid-stance. The rearfoot GEL technology in the Gel-Pulse 15 delivers more compression in the heel thanks to its softer nature. Completing the midsole is the sockliner which provides added underfoot cushioning for long training sessions.
The sockliner is produced with the solution dyeing process that reduces water usage by approximately 33% and carbon emissions by approximately 45% compared to the conventional dyeing technology.
AHAR Plus OutsoleSupreme grip and traction are guaranteed with the AHAR outsole. ASICS' High Abrasion Rubber is made with a tough rubber compound, which is used in heavy-contact or high-wear areas to help keep the shoe strong wear, after wear. This high abrasion outsole provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage and protect users from losing control and slipping. Strategically positioned in critical areas of the outsole, this exceptionally durable compound is 50% more durable than standard ASICS High Abrasion Rubber, for maximum protection and durability. Creating a strong bond with the ground beneath it, the outsole allows you to stay in full control at all times. Flex grooves also adorn the outsole to provide added traction underfoot, allowing for natural foot flexion for easy, unhindered paces.
