Engineered Knit Upper
Like the Nimbus 25, the 26 has been created with an engineered knit upper that encases each foot in soft, breathable comfort, that eliminates any rubbing. Lightweight and highly breathable for all-temperature comfort, the knit acts as a lightweight second skin, providing a supportive and comfortable fit. With its engineered construction air is able to fully permeate the upper, providing a constant airflow so that your feet can breathe when the temperature starts to rise or your training session heats up. The lacing system helps to anchor you to the midsole and reduce in-shoe slippage so that you can enjoy smooth distraction-free strides.
FlyteFoam Blast Plus Eco Midsole
The Gel-Nimbus 26 has been constructed using FlyteFoam Blast Plus Eco cushioning which provides the perfect balance of lightweight and rebound properties. These layers of protection, bounce, and comfort provide you with unmatched shock absorption and a lively ride. Its reinforced, organic fibres let the material bounce back to its original shape after every run so that you can train harder, more frequently, and for longer without the worry your shoes might not be able to take it. The Eco Foam features 20% more foam compared to the standard FlyteFoam Blast Plus Foam. The foam is made from at least 20% bio-based material from renewable sources such as leftover waste from sugar cane processing. The midsole also includes PureGEL, which absorbs the impact of each foot strike and provides a smoother transition as your foot rolls. This helps to conserve energy and provides soft and bouncy cushioning. Completing the midsole is the Ortholite X-55 sockliner which provides added underfoot cushioning for long training sessions.
AHARPLUS Outsole
Supreme grip and traction are guaranteed with the AHARPLUS outsole. ASICS' High Abrasion Rubber is a tough rubber compound used in heavy-contact or high-wear areas which helps to cut down on excessive wear. The high abrasion outsole provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage and protect users from losing control and slipping. Creating a strong bond with the ground beneath it, the outsole allows you to stay in full control at all times. As well as this, a lateral full ground contact on the outsole supplies even more cushioning and durability so you can continue with complete confidence. Enhancing the grip further ASICS has also included ASICSGRIP outsole rubber helping to create better traction, improved softness and advanced durability. Flex grooves also adorn the outsole to provide added traction underfoot and allow for natural foot flexion for easy, unhindered paces. The flex grooves work with the rubber outsole to provide an abundance of underfoot traction.
