Description
Create an intricate model of an artist’s studio in miniature, complete with Van Gogh’s Sunflowers. Vincent Van Gogh created his studio at ‘The Yellow House’ in Arles in Southern France in 1888, determined to create a working space to share with his fellow artist Paul Gauguin. In honour of Gauguin’s arrival Van Gogh painted his famous Sunflowers series. Writing to his brother Theo, ‘Now that I hope to live with Gauguin in a studio of our own, I want to make decorations… Nothing but big flowers… If I carry out this idea there will be a dozen panels. So the whole thing will be a symphony in blue and yellow" .
