Art Deco Chest of Drawers THIS ITEM IS NOW SOLD Harris Lebus was established in the 1880's in Tabernacle Street, Shoreditch. By the early 1900's, with a 40 acre factory site at Tottenham Hale, the company once claimed to be the largest furniture manufacturer in the world supplying prestigious stores such as Maple & Co as well as exporting worldwide. This chest of drawers circa late 1930s reflects elements of art deco design with its simple, stylish curves. All the old finish has been removed to reveal the beautiful dark blonde figured wood veneer which has been waxed to enhance & protect the natural grain. The drawers are framed in Coal Black mineral paint with the cabinet top, pedestal feet & handles in the same finish. Free running, dovetailed drawers & figured wood upstand. Harris Lebus maker's mark to inner top drawer. in great vintage condition with clean interior.
