Description
LED pendant luminaire Spectral Light - clever light composition with targeted effect The Spectral Light pendant lamp consists of a transparent shade made of mouth-blown glass, in which twelve rods made of methacrylate are arranged, which act as light guides and shine in different colours. The integrated LEDs emit light in twelve different wavelengths, which have positive effects on humans, animals and plants: The light of the Spectral Light pendant consists of wavelengths beneficial for humans (470 nm blue, 534 nm green and 564 nm yellow), dogs (470 nm blue and 555 nm lime), cats (500 nm cyan and 556 nm green) and plants (470 nm blue and 662 nm deep red). The convex shape of the upper part of the sphere directs the light, which is focused by the transparent glass onto the slightly opal lower part, where the different wavelengths converge and mix. The result of this fascinating pendant light is a light that reproduces the visible spectral range of natural sunlight. The design of the pendant lamp comes from the Swiss architect Philippe Rahm, who runs an architectural practice in Paris. His work expands the field of architecture from the physiological to the meteorological; in the context of the quest for sustainability, he has found an international audience. Philippe Rahm patented the concept for Spectral Light. - Brightness and spectral colours can be controlled via an external push dimmer.
