LED pendant lamp Discovery Square with fascinating light effect Discovery Square is a very modern designed LED light source, which is almost unnoticeable with its vertical alignment and the low strength when switched off and is optimally suitable for the atmospheric illumination not only of living rooms, but also of offices and conference rooms. The flat shade consists of a narrow aluminium frame with Edgelight lighting technology: this means that an LED strip is embedded in the frame all around, flooding the large technopolymer diffuser with bright light. The homogeneously emitting light offers a high level of visual comfort and complies with the UGR standards for glare-free VDU work, making Discovery Square also an ideal lighting solution for modern office areas such as coworking spaces. - externally dimmable (DALI) The ultra-modern design comes from the co-founder of the manufacturing company Artemide - Ernesto Gismondi (1931-2020). Ernesto Gismondi, who studied aerospace engineering, developed and produced lighting systems from the early 1960s. He was part of the avant-garde movement "Memphis", with his designs and products he influenced the design of Italy and the world. The designer, who has been honored many times, was awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 1994 and the European Design Award in 1997, among others. In 2018, he was honoured with the Compasso d'Oro for his life's work.
