Sinn Watch U1 DE Silicone Limited Edition. 1010.0241 Red Silicone Strap. Designed in celebration of the 30th anniversary of German reunification, the Sinn U1 DE Limited Edition revives one of the luxury watch brand’s most beloved dive watches. Celebrated on October 3rd, the anniversary of the German reunification honours the day when both sides of German were reunited following the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. In honour of these celebrations, the Sinn U1 DE Limited Edition has been engineered from high-strength German submarine steel, a material renowned for its high resistance to saltwater and fantastic non-magnetic properties. The dial is also purposely detailed in black, red and gold, colours associated with the German reunification which are also anchored in the constitution as the colours of the flag. The rest of the Sinn U1 DE Limited Edition is largely dressed in black including the 44mm German submarine steel case decorated with black hard coating and treated with the brand’s famous TEGIMENT technology. The TEGIMENT treatment ensures the quality of the colour coating and guarantees an even greater level of protection against scratches. The case is also fitted with a black diver’s bezel detailed with minute ratcheting, luminous key mark and a captive connection to the case. Water resistant to a whopping 1,000 metres, the Sinn U1 DE is a no-brainer for divers assisted by a screw down crown at 4 o’clock, screwed case back and scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass housed above luminescent hands and indexes. Hidden beneath the dial is the trusty SW 200-1 automatic winding mechanism which delivers central hands for hours, minutes and seconds, a date window at 3 o clock and a power reserve of 38 hours.
