Crafted from alluring 18ct rose gold, this 10th limited edition watch by Bremont celebrates the pioneering work and research of theoretical physicist, Professor Stephen Hawking. The legendary scientist dedicated his entire life to enhancing mankind’s knowledge of the history of the universe, black holes and gravitational forces. The desk at which he produced some of his groundbreaking work is embedded into the design of the Bremont Hawking case, as is a piece of meteorite to symbolise the cosmos. This limited edition rose gold iteration of the Bremont Hawking collection is limited to just 88 pieces worldwide. Its 100 meter water resistant Trip Tick case construction is adorned with a hand decorated caseback marking out the star formations as seen above Oxford on the evening of the professor’s birth in 1942. Each unique limited edition number is stamped upon an original piece of paper taken from Hawking’s co written seminal research paper on “The ‘nuts’ and ‘bolts’ of Gravity”, created in 1979. A swirled black hole inspired matte black dial features 18ct rose gold hands and indexes coated in Super LumiNova, together with a retrograde second indicator at 6 o’clock balanced by a grand date at 12 o’clock. The swirled texture on the dial’s surface is protected underneath a lens crafted from Bremont’s sapphire crystal glass, specially treated with layers of anti reflective coating. This rose gold Bremont Hawking limited edition watch is powered by the modified calibre 11 1/2’’’ BE 33 AE which provides a 42 hour power reserve and beats at a rhythm of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The timepiece is completed on a traditional brown alligator leather strap with a pin buckle fastening crafted from matching 18ct rose gold.
