As part of the new Chronomat B01 42 watch collection, Breitling have unveiled this stunning Breitling Chronomat Frecce Tricolori Limited Edition watch which celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Frecce Tricolori squadron. Taking inspiration from the brands history and the original Breitling Frecce Tricolori chronograph developed and launched in 1983, the new re-edition takes on classic design cues alongside some new modern innovations including a unique bezel with interchangeable rider tabs at positions 15 and 45 and a signature “Rouleaux” bracelet distinctive for its angular links, polished bevels and vintage profile. Like the original 1983 Breitling Chronomat Frecce Tricolori watch, the new Breitling Chronomat B01 42 Frecce Tricolori Limited Edition features a sophisticated case crafted from polished stainless steel fitted with integrated lugs, robust shoulders, and a classic rounded crown. The ratcheted unidirectional bezel and knurled crown have been purposely designed for use by sportsmen so that they can be easily manipulated even with gloves on. Housed within the case and exposed beautifully through the exhibition case back, the legendary Breitling B01 automatic winding calibre works its magic, powering the central hands for hours, minutes and chronograph seconds, date, continuous seconds dial, chronograph counter for 30 minutes and 12 hours and the power reserve of 70 hours. The functions are elegantly presented on a striking blue sunray dial decorated with steel Superluminova hands and indexes, matching blue chronograph counters and the Frecce Tricolori insignia at 12 o clock, all protected by scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass coated with anti-reflective treatment.
