Ball Watches continue to assert their role as a key protagonist in the exploration of modern watchmaking and this Ball Engineer II Powerlight 72 has impressed the watch world with its 72 hour power reserve. Unlike most watch brands who increase the number of barrels in a watch to expand the power reserve and thus increasing the weight, Ball watches have instead decreased the frequency allowing the movement to keep going for longer while still maintaining the timepiece's lightweight finish.. The Ball Engineer II Powerlight 72 watch features a 40mm stainless steel case that embraces the automatic calibre BALL RR1107-C movement with a SpringLOCK patented anti shock system and a water resistance of 100 metres. Housed beneath the scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass with antireflective treatment is a striking black dial that is remarkably easy to read. The dial boasts a magnified date feature, a fire orange seconds hand that contrasts beautifully to the dark dial and 27 micro gas tubes set on the Arabic numerals, indexes and hands which become luminous in the dark and will glow for 25 years without requiring any recharge. To complete the timepiece, a stainless steel bracelet and matching folding buckle is added for effortless wear and comfort.
