This helmet comes with RX-7V ventilation which means the combined systems offer excellent and efficient ventilation. The top ducts provides 11% more airflow with bigger switches for easy operating. The Air Channel guides air from the eye port area to the side ducts. The diffuser is 20 mm longer with improved aerodynamics, and 19% larger intake scoops, both work together with the Air Wing to improve stability. The chin cover blocks air intrusion and draws more air from the mouth area. The free flow system that is included with this helmet helps to create airflow under the helmet that reduces wind noise and turbulence while increasing the exhaust of hot air. This helmet also comes with Eyeport air channel which offers enhanced air exhaust from the eye port area, pulled through dedicated air channel to side ducts, improving efficiency and reducing noise. The front ventilation of this helmet comes in the form of a Centre top vent, diffuser system and brow vents which are extended to the temple area. The Top Vent provides 11% more airflow than the previous Vent. The bigger switch makes opening and closing easier. The Top Vent has three positions; closed, half open and fully open to adjust the airflow and prevent water intrusion when fully closed. The diffusers are 20mm longer and straightened for improved aerodynamics, working together with the Air Wing to improve stability. Compared to the previous diffusers, the efficiency of the intake scoops has increased by 19%. The air intake vents not only have more adjustability with three positions; closed, half open and fully open but also help to improve sealing that decreases wind noise and water intrusion. The brow vents mean fresh air can enter directly to the forehead area without the need for holes in this critical area of the shell and impact absorbing liner. For specific models the ventilation is extended to the temple area. The rear ventilation comes as a neck exhaust vent and side exhausts. The neck air vent helps to enhance hot-air extraction from the interior and increases the ventilation effect at the lower part of the helmet. The side exhausts produce low pressure behind the rear vent for better hot air extraction. Integrated in the shell for better aerodynamics, reduce wind noise and prevent buffeting at speed. Inside, a small foam dam helps to absorb and diminish excessive noise, without reducing ventilation performance.This helmet is extremely aerodynamic with this being achieved using a pull down chin spoiler which helps minimize wind noise and also aids with the extraction of hot air from the face area. Provides additional deflection of road debris away from neck. Depending on the model the Chin Spoiler is retractable. Along with this, this helmet comes with an adjustable patented air wing which is MotoGP tested and designed to greatly reduce drag, turbulence and buffeting resulting in more comfort and additional top-speed. It improves stability of the helmet at high speeds or when braking hard and reduces noise. Depending on the model the Air Wing is adjustable in five different angles of attack positions to suit every riding position.The visor on this helmet is made using a VAS Max Vision visor with a de-mist option included. VAS MAX Vision shield is standard to provide better visibility in all seasons and for all types of riding. The shield latch system that comes with this helmet is borrowed from Arai's F1 helmet, completely modified 3D moving shield latch mechanism secures the shield like never before, but operates smoothly with an intuitive fluid one finger operation even with gloves. This helmet comes with a pinlock insert lens which effectively prevents misting and fogging of the visor, even under extreme wet and damp conditions. May be cleaned and changed easily.The interior of the RX-7V comes with a lot of features. These include the Antimicrobial Liner material which helps maintain neutral acidity levels close to human skin and antibacterial consumption. With the aim of a softer, deeper and even more comfortable fit we developed a softer liner frame material. The liner also has adjustable temple padding that allows for a customized fit. This helmet comes with replaceable cheek pads/ear cups, full interior, chin strap covers and neckroll, which may be easily removed. All these parts can be cleaned with lukewarm water and mild soap. This helmet has replaceable interior. This helmet comes with handy speaker pockets which ensure there is space for your communication system. The RX-7V Evo comes with a Facial Contour System which offers an even better snug fit and enhancing the comfort to the lower jaw, the Facial Contour System (FCS) works with a foam spring support in the cheek pad that compresses and rebounds, providing the necessary support without excessive pressure. This helmet offers more room around the nose and mouth area enhancing the famous Arai fit.This helmet comes with the Emergency release system which allows easier access to an injured rider. By pulling the orange tabs integrated in the pads, the cheek pads slide out. Making helmet removal easier for trained medical personnel and rescuers. Minimising the risk of additional injury. it also comes with a breath guard which works in conjunction with the dual-pivot chin vent to better direct fresh air to the inside surface of the shield while at the same time directing hot breath down and away from the inside surface of the shield. Along with these, the helmet also comes with a removable chin curtain which is attached to the bottom of the helmet, the chin curtain helps to further accentuate the Egg-shape form. The curtain simultaneously blocks air intrusion from turbulent air below and increases negative pressure to enhance the exhaust function of FFS by drawing more air from the mouth area. The improved airflow reduces noise even further.This helmet comes with some special Arai features which include things like Glancing Off which is designed to minimize impact energy getting into the helmet, it s crucial that a helmet can slide over a surface. Arai believes that a Strong, Round & Smooth shell helps to increase a helmets ability to protect the rider during an impact. Shells with sharp edges or vent ducts that don t break off can reduce the helmet s ability to slide, sending energy into the helmet, or even enhance rotational energy. This helmet is Five times inspected which means that each helmet has to go through five separate quality-control depart­ments: after the shell is made, after painting and graphic completion, after assembly and two in-process inspections. Each of these helmets are hand made it can take up to five years for Arai's experts to earn the right to create an Arai shell. Each shell can take up to 27 steps and to build one Arai helmet will take about 18 man-hours. All Arai helmets are penetration tested, although not required by European helmet standards. The Arai penetration test is performed with a 3kg test cone that strikes from a height of 3m on the helmet. The helmets closing system is made using double D-ring. The smooth outer shell of Arai helmets is designed to glide without unnecessary resistance. You don t want to decelerate your helmet more than necessary. That s why all Arai vents and ducts are designed to break off during an impact. Arai uses a very strong outer shell to spread impact forces and a soft inner shell to absorb remaining energy. The multiple-density EPS inner shell is made using a unique technology of combining three to five densities in various areas as a single component. The organic shape of an Arai outer shell offers a more natural appearance, seals better and conforms more to the head s natural shape for improved comfort, fit and to help minimize wind turbulence.This helmet is certified to ECE 22-05 which is the most common helmet certification internationally, required by over 50 countries worldwide. It is also SNELL M2010/2015.
