With the short and crisp Wasabi, Amplid is launching a freeride board for light and younger riders. The classic surf tail comes here in combination with a sophisticated nose that offers you uplift in powder and stability on the piste. All this comes in combination with HEXO2 inlays, which, in combination with the V-Tail, offer an incredible amount of turning ability. Riding style You are a bit lighter and looking for a board for groomers, fast runs on the piste and endless turns in the powder? The wasabi is your companion for exactly these situations. Shape The tapered directional shape is perfect for all-mountain and freeriding. The nose is slightly wider and longer than the tail for controlled turns in any terrain and more float in powder. Profile The Directional Cruise Camber, a semi-flat camber offers you just the right profile for the whole mountain. Manoeuvrability, pop and, thanks to the early rise of the nose, a lot of uplift when it gets deep. Flex The medium flex provides a balanced mix of stability, control and pop, but is not too aggressive. Construction The Omni Core is a reliable low-density poplar wood core that is lightweight, durable and flexible. In addition, HEXO2 technology, which replaces parts of the core with ultra-light honeycomb made from recycled paper, ensures less weight. The Carbon Pop Band is a narrow band of unidirectional carbon stringers that increases pop without adding unwanted torsional stiffness. V-shaped basalt strips cushion vibrations while Quadrax glass provides perfect torsional rigidity. The sintered 7 Base is extremely hard, fast and durable.
