Description
Altra Escalante Racer Women's Running Shoes

The Escalante Racer is Altra's faster and higher performance version of the Escalante. The upper is firmer, highly breathable and has a lighter heel counter for optimum cornering and comfort on the racecourse. To top it off, the Altra EGO midsole is a touch firmer for a little more energy return and a little less cush.

Static Engineered Knit Upper

Engineered knit fabric provides an abundance of comfort and durability to keep your feet protected while running. The knit is highly breathable, meaning cool air is encouraged to circulate, creating a drier, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. In addition, excess sweat and moisture are efficiently wicked away leaving your feet cool, dry and comfortable as you strive for the best results and performance. Furthermore, a toe-box allows toes to relax and spread out naturally and the big toe to remain in a straight position for more comfort, speed and stability. Finished with a lighter heel counter for optimum cornering and comfort on the racecourse.

Race-Tuned Altra Ego Midsole with InnerFlex

Altra Ego is Altra's innovative midsole technology, with a decoupled heel for exceptional cushioning and support. Working alongside Altra Ego is InnerFlex EVA, which resides in the midsole for lightweight cushioning and comfort. Having the cushioning enables you to efficiently propel through the gait cycle for a more responsive ride. Plush, EVA cushioning reduces the wear and tear placed on joints, lessening the potential risk of injury in susceptible areas.

Footpod Technology Outsole

Footpod is an outsole technology that actually maps the bones and tendons of your foot to help it bend and move naturally. A full cushioned zero drop platform places your heel and forefront the same distance from the ground encouraging proper, low-impact form throughout your run to reduce fatigue so you can continue to go further for longer.
