Alpinestars also know that you'll want extra ventilation across areas where you'll have a backpack and so they use mesh inserts across the back and chest to boost airflow, increasing wicking performance and comfort. A low collar is designed to give comfort as you attack technical trails, while a dropped tail adds coverage over shorts as you get into an attacking position.
