This Jacket has a fixed inner liner for real-world practicality, and a Drystar fixed membrane for 100% waterproof performance and high levels of breathability. Alpinestars history in motocross means they are keenly aware of the needs of full weather protection in a single piece of clothing. Drystar uses a separate membrane layer that sits behind the top outer layer of the jacket and can be removed, as with other inner membranes this does mean rainwater that lands on the outer layer is soaked in but never gets far enough to make your clothes under your jacket wet. The Jacket also has a removable thermal liner which allows the rider to adjust to the weather conditions.For rider safety, Nucleon Flex Plus Level 1 Armour has been included on the Shoulders and Elbows, and Nucleon Chest Level 1 and Nucleon Back Level 1 and 2 available as optional upgrades if required. 600 Denier Polyester dobby has been included on the Shoulders and Elbows for enhanced abrasion resistance, and reflective detailing has been included on the upper sleeve and back to increase the visibility of the rider for other road users in poor, low or night time light conditions. Due to the high amount of protection on offer, the Jacket is a Category 1, A Class fully CE-certified garment under PPE regulation (EU) 2016/425.  The A Rating means that the protection on offer is deemed suitable for urban riding, with Zone 1 (Shoulders, Elbows, Hips and Knees) requiring one second of abrasion resistance at 265.3rpm and half a second at 147.4rpm in Zone 2 (outer arms, torso, legs and feet).For additional rider comfort, there are two side vents for optimal airflow, Snap button volume adjusters on upper sleeve and Hook and Loop adjusters on the wrist and waist for optimised fit. There is also a comfort collar with internal padding, Hook and Loop closure and an internal loop to keep collar open.Additional features include one zippered Chest pocket and two front pockets which have a Hook and Loop closure for security. There is also an internal waterproof document pocket.
