Upholstered in a 100 viscose material, it benefits from a hand tufted finish, a process designed to ensure the deep layers stay firmly in place. Exclusive to Archers, the Tranquillity boasts a unique multi-spring system where 1000 central coils are sandwiched between 4600 mini tablet springs.. Designed to instantly compress when pressure is applied, tablet springs provide the feeling of weightlessness and increase air-flow throughout. Independent of any neighbouring springs, the pocket springs contour your body shape to offer piston-like support to the neck, hips and lower back. Edge-to-edge support is provided by the addition of hand side-stitching, a labour intensive and intricate technique that takes many years to master. With the help of a long upholstery needle and high tension twine, the perimeter springs are sewn to the border, adding strength to the mattress edge.
