For the Ultimate sleeping experience, the Tranquillity 12800 combines pocket and mini tablet springs and substantial layers of natural fillings. Expertly crafted for Archers, the mattress is fully upholstered in a plush Belgian woven viscose fabric and benefits from traditional hand tufting. For the optimum comfort and to help regulate body temperatures, deep layers of natural fillings such as wool, cotton, silk and cashmere are used.. The unique design of the Tranquillitys interior is made up of an inner core of 2000 pocket springs, with 5400 mini tablet springs on either side. Housed in cloth sleeves, the springs are free of any neighbouring coils and only compress where pressure is applied for body-contouring support. To enhance the edge of the mattress, a hand side-stitching process is applied. This requires the border to be sewn to the perimeter springs. Its a labour intensive and intricate technique thats only performed by highly-skilled craftsmen; a job that takes them many years to master. Boasting a reinforced structure and a choice of depths, the Athena base features gently curved drawer fronts and sturdy ball-bearing metal runners.. Please note: Headboard is not included..
