Built from Brit designer Grace Wales Bonner’s exploration of British and the West Indies’ diasporic links, the SS/21 collaboration reimagines some of adidas’ iconic pieces with a Caribbean twist. Chosen for its rich footballing heritage, the collection’s ‘Samba’ trainers showcase quintessential adidas features, including iconic three-stripe detailing at the sides, padded heel caps and gum rubber soles. Crafted with navy blue leather leather and tonal suede overlays, the classic model has been updated with satin linings, topstitching on the tongues and a tri-colour palette. Fastened with supplementary crochet laces, the low-tops are finished with co-branding. Upper: Leather. Lining: Textile. Sole: Rubber.
