NYC's Extra Butter presents their adidas Rivalry Lows from the 2023 Consortium Cup, inspired by the cult classic Japanese film, Battle Royale. Inspired by the school uniforms worn in the film, the upper comes in premium tan leather, with a mesh toe box and perforated white leather side walls. Themes of battle and survival are also present, with cracked leather on the Three Stripes and heel tag, as well as loose frayed stitching resembling repairs made during the film's chaos. The tongues are also dressed in an alarming red full-length tag, also referencing the ties worn by the students. All of this sits on the Rivalry's chunky rubber sole, done in a vintage sail finish.
