Description
Gubi Wall light with plug Gold Metal. Dimensions: L 19.5 x Depth 24.5 cm x H 13.5 cm - Cable: L 380 cm. The 9464 wall lamp was created by designer Paavo Tynell in 1947. A great pioneer of Finnish lighting, Paavo Tynell (1890-1973) is fondly known as the man who lit up Finland. His lamps are highly sought after by collectors around the world and prices for his original pieces have recently soared at auction. Known for their delicacy and softness, Tynell's creations are derived from a traditional aesthetic mixed with a modern sensibility. A master craftsman, Tynell became famous for his use of perforated polished brass. The 9464 wall lamp illustrates Tynell's taste for perforated brass. It is decorated with small holes forming delicate patterns. These perforations let the light filter through, producing a poetic light effect. This wall lamp provides direct and indirect lighting. The glass diffuser under the light prevents glare. The wall light comes with a cable for connection to the mains. Cable switch.
