Culture Vulture 4 Moravian Meadow Coasters
Description
Chunky mango wood coasters with pretty floral motifs and geometric patterns echoing Moravian folk art. Presented as a set of four coasters, tied with jute string and with protective foam pads on the bases. With a durable, opaque enamel finish the coaster designs recall the vivid floral garlands, facades and frames painted by nonagenarian Czech artist Aneka Kapárková (19282018), whose paintings made the Southern Moravian village of Louka world famous. The selftaught painter disarmingly described her motivation as try[ing] to help decorate the world a bit.
