The 2021 Trek Top Fuel 9.9 X01 Full Suspension Mountain Bike in Gloss Red is a top-shelf full suspension mountain bike for riders who are serious about their fun. Its lightweight carbon frame is spec'd to the hilt with high-end suspension and high-performance parts. And all those fancy bits and bobs are really, really good at hitting the party line. The Top Fuel 9.9 is built around a light and stiff full carbon frame and is fitted with a 120 mm Fox Factory 34 Step-Cast fork and 115 mm of rear travel from a Fox Factory Float shock. The frame comes with Mino Link which lets you make small adjustments to the geometry with the turn of a single bolt, even during a ride. Smaller frames (S) have a top tube that dips down as it approaches the seat tube. This design makes for a lower standover height, which is good for shorter riders because it allows them to straddle their bike more easily. The larger frames (M and ML) have a straight top tube because taller riders with longer legs typically don’t have the same issues with standover height. The Top Fuel 8.8 XO1 comes with the new SRAM X01 Eagle 1 x 12 speed drive train with an extra-low 52-tooth climbing gear. Wide carbon Bontrager Kovee Pro 30 wheels come with a 108-tooth Rapid Drive hub for instant engagement. A Bontrager DropLock dual remote suspension lockout and lots of carbon everywhere finish off the build.
