Description
Bloomsbury Market This screen is a real favourite for its simple refinement. It's made of four hinged panels, each hand carved with bevelled edges and finished in warm elm to show off the wood's natural beauty. Screens were used from early on in China as decorative items and to provide privacy within a living area. While screens from the later Qing dynasty tended to be extremely ornate and highly carved, simpler, understated designs like this one were also popular during the Ming period. Our version provides a very elegant way to section off part of a bedroom or living room. Finish: Warm Elm
