Picked out with gold foil details, smart cards reproducing celestial figures and ornaments from a finelytooled leather binding from the collection of the British Library. The decorations echo the rich blue and gold of the illustrations of the constellations in Johann Bayer’s revolutionary celestial atlas, ‘Uranometria’, published in 1603.
