Description
The Sony Alpha NEX-5 combines the capability of DSLR technology with convenient interchangeable lenses in a neat design that can be carried easily in a pocket or bag. The Alpha NEX-5 is 'mirrorless', bringing the thickness of the camera to just 24.2mm at its slimmest point. The camera features a re-designed Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor with 14.2 effective megapixels. This makes it a much larger sensor than that usually found inside a compact camera and therefore makes the extremely low image noise and creative defocus effects normally found on DSLRs possible. A powerful Bionz processor enables even higher quality of still and video images – the Sony Alpha NEX-5 can capture the action at up to 7fps.
