Piet Mondrian (1872-1944) was a Dutch pioneer of abstract art, who progressed from landscape pictures to geometric abstract works. He studied painting at the Amsterdam Academy. From 1908, he began to work in a vividly coloured style. While living in Paris, he was influenced by Cubism, which he carried to the point of abstraction. After returning to Holland, he developed a more simplified abstract style he called Neo Plasticism. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings?
