Museum Selection Snowy Owl Advent Calendar Wreath
Description
A charming diecut Advent calendar with 3D appliqués and glitter highlights, reproducing a design by contemporary American artist Ingrid Slyder. Decorated with a snowy owl, a bird native to the Arctic regions, whose presence echoes ancient pagan traditions of the Celts for whom white owls were especially revered. In Scottish Gaelic, the word ‘owlÂ’ means ‘white woman of the nightÂ’. Owls were considered wise, gatekeepers for the spirit world and, in some ancient cultures, harbingers of good luck and healing.
